Two names, one gift: what we can make for a couple

A couple gift is personal when it carries both of them. At Raajkosh, that means hand-poured soy wax candles with the couple's names or initials on the tag ("Ananya and Dev", "A and D, est. 2024"), made in colours that suit their home, and a custom fragrance if you ask. We do not engrave, print photos, or make couple mugs, matching T-shirts or caricature frames. If that is the gift you have in mind, a photo-print or engraving shop is the right place.

Wording for the tag, by occasion

The tag is where the customising happens, so the words matter. Keep it to one line.

• Engagement or roka: both first names and the date: "Ishita and Kabir, 12.12".
• First home together: their surname with a blessing: "The Kapoors, Shubh Griha Pravesh".
• Anniversary: names and the number: "Neha and Arjun, 5 years".
• Just married: initials joined: "N and A", or "Mr and Mrs Bedi".
• Long-distance couple getting together: a private word between the two of them.

Send the exact spelling in writing. For a couple, check that both names are spelt the way they spell them, since a misspelt name is the most likely thing to go wrong.

Colours: choose for the home, not the occasion

Wedding gifts in India are often red and gold. A couple who has just set up a minimal flat may prefer ivory, sage or navy. Ask yourself where the candles will sit: a white-walled living room, a wooden mandir, a balcony. • Shop pieces dispatch in 24 to 48 hours and arrive 2 to 7 days after dispatch, across India. Check the estimate for their pincode on the product page.
• Prepaid only: UPI, card, net banking or wallet. No cash on delivery.
