The story
Urli Candles
A pair of flower-shaped urli bowls with a gold rim, filled with gold-flecked soy wax and topped with a yellow wax sunflower. The urli is the wide, shallow bowl usually filled with water and floating flowers at the entrance of a home; these keep the shape and trade the water for a flame.
The wax is pure soy, hand-poured in Jalandhar and finished by hand, so the flecks of gold settle a little differently in each bowl. A custom fragrance can be added on request through custom orders.
Set the pair either side of a doorway or the mandir, or in the middle of the dining table on a festival evening. Urli Candles are a graceful Diwali gift for parents, and a pair works well as a wedding or shagun present for a couple setting up home together.
