Custom candles as a personalised wedding gift

A personalised wedding gift is one that could only have been made for this couple: their names, their date, their colours. We make custom soy wax candles by enquiry. You can ask for custom colours, a custom fragrance, or names on the candle, and we hand-pour them in our workshop in Jalandhar.

How it works, plainly:

1. Go to raajkosh.com/custom-orders.
2. Tell us the idea (for example, two candles in the wedding's colours with the couple's first names) and the date you need it by.
3. We reply with what we can make. We do not publish a custom price or a lead time, because both depend on the design.

Custom pieces are not returnable unless they arrive damaged or wrong, so check the spelling of the names twice before you confirm.

What to personalise, and what to leave alone

Personalisation works best when it is small and certain:

• First names of the couple, or their initials. Short names fit better than full names.
• The wedding colours, if you know them from the invite or the mehendi theme.
• A fragrance, if you know the couple like a scented home. Our standard range has one scented candle; anything else is a custom request.
• A date only if you are sure of it. A wrong date is worse than no date.

Avoid long quotes, nicknames the family does not know, or anything you would not want displayed in their drawing room when the in-laws visit.

Timing: start early

Custom work needs time to agree the design, pour and send. Enquire as soon as you know you will need it, ideally weeks before the wedding, not days. Delivery takes 2 to 7 days after dispatch across India, and that is in addition to making time. If the wedding is close, use the ready option below and personalise with the note instead.

The quick route: a ready pair with a personal note

If you do not have time for a custom piece, a ready candle pair with gift packaging and a handwritten-style gift note (added on the product page) still feels personal. Pairs suit a couple:

Write the note as if the couple will read it in a year. One specific memory and one wish is enough.

Others popular in India: name boards or nameplates for the new home, engraved photo frames, caricature or portrait illustrations of the couple, custom wedding hampers with monogrammed packaging, engraved silver or brass items, embroidered cushions, and printed albums of the wedding or of your years together. Engraving shops and portrait artists are better for these; we only make candles.

If the couple will receive many personalised items (common at big weddings), a custom candle has one advantage: it gets used and lit, rather than hung on a wall that already has three frames.

Safety for the couple: trim the wick to about 5 mm, burn on a heat-proof surface, never leave it unattended, keep each burn to 3 to 4 hours.
