Choosing by the couple

How to give it so it gets noticed

A practical point that applies to every wedding gift, not only ours: gifts handed over at the reception go into a heap, get opened in a hurry days later, and the card falls off. Three better ways:

1. Send it to their home a week or two after the wedding, when they are back and settling in. Add gift packaging and a gift note on the product page, and put their new address at checkout.
2. Pair it with the shagun envelope: give the envelope at the function and let the candles arrive later with a note saying "for your first Diwali together" or "for your new home".
3. Give it at a smaller function such as the mehendi or a post-wedding dinner, where gifts are opened on the spot.
