Lotus candle price in India: a layered soy wax lotus for the mandir, Diwali and gifting

Lotus candle price in India

Our Lotus Candle is Rs 349 (MRP Rs 449). It is a layered lotus flower shaped in pure soy wax, hand-poured in Jalandhar, and comes in two colourways:

• Green and red: green leaves with a red bloom, the traditional look for a pooja shelf.
• Coral pink: an all-pink lotus, softer, good for a dressing table, a bedroom or a gift for her.

If you want a larger statement piece with lotus flowers, the Shankh Candle is Rs 799: a cream and caramel conch vessel filled with gold-flecked soy wax and decorated with pink lotus blooms and a green lily pad.

Why people buy a lotus candle

The lotus has a special place in Indian homes. Goddess Lakshmi is shown seated on a lotus, which is why lotus pieces are so popular for Diwali and Dhanteras, and the flower stands for purity in many pooja traditions. A lotus candle brings that symbol into the mandir in a form that is ready to light, with no oil and no petals that wilt overnight.

Other common reasons:

• Diwali gifting for parents and elders, because it suits the mandir and needs no explanation.
• Griha pravesh, as a first light for the new home's pooja corner.
• Home decor, where the coral pink lotus works as a flower that never fades.
• Meditation or a calm corner, where one lotus on a low table sets the mood.

Green and red or coral pink: how to choose

A simple rule: if the candle is going into a mandir, pick green and red. If it is going on display in a room, pick coral pink. If you cannot decide, buy one of each: two Lotus Candles are Rs 698.

Lotus Candle or Shankh Candle?

Together they make a complete mandir set for Rs 349 + Rs 799 = Rs 1,148, and the order ships free because it is above Rs 999.

Pairing a lotus candle for Diwali

A lotus looks best when it is the one special piece among simpler lights. Try:

• Lotus Candle with Diya Candles: one lotus in the middle of the mandir, with a pack of six Diya Candles (Rs 449) around the rangoli. Total Rs 798.
• Lotus Candle with Urli Candles: the lotus on the mandir, the pair of Urli Candles (Rs 699) on the living room table. Total Rs 1,048, shipped free.

• Rotating or musical lotus candles (the kind that open like a flower and play a tune) are a different product, usually sold at local festival stalls and marketplaces. Ours is a hand-poured soy wax lotus, not a musical one.
• White lotus candles or large floating lotus candles for a bowl of water: check home decor stores and marketplaces; we make green and red, and coral pink.
• Lotus-scented candles: a home fragrance brand. Our Lotus Candle has no fragrance listed.

Lighting it safely in the mandir

Place the lotus on a metal plate or a heat-proof stand, away from cloth, flowers and paper pictures of the deities. Trim the wick to about 5 mm, never leave it lit when no one is in the room, and do not burn it for more than 3 to 4 hours at a time.
