Green candles online in India: lotus, sage green hearts and mint daisy tealights, with prices

Where the green is in our range

We do not make a plain green pillar, but green runs through several of our soy wax candles, each hand-poured in Jalandhar:

• Lotus Candle, green and red: Rs 349, a layered lotus with green leaves and a red bloom.
• Daisy Tealights, mint and ivory: Rs 449 for a pack of 10 tealights topped with daisies.
• Heart Rope Candles, set of 4: Rs 999, rope-rimmed hearts in taupe, butter yellow, sage green and dusty pink.
• Shankh Candle: Rs 799, a cream and caramel conch with pink lotus blooms on a green lily pad.
• Matki Candles: Rs 599 for 4 red pots with a hand-painted green and yellow vine border.

If green is the main colour you want, the Lotus Candle and the mint Daisy Tealights are the greenest pieces. In the rest, green is the accent.

Which green, and where it goes

Why green candles work in Indian homes

Green is the colour of leaves and toran. Mango leaf torans, banana leaves at a pooja, tulsi in the courtyard: green already has a place in festive Indian decor. A green and red lotus or a vine-painted matki sits naturally among them.

Green calms a busy room. In a living room full of colour, sage and mint are restful. A set of pastel hearts with one sage green piece in front of plants looks fresh, not loud.

Green pairs easily. Green with red is festive. Green with white or ivory is fresh. Green with gold or brass is rich. Green with wood is natural. There are few combinations where it fails.

Green candles for occasions

• Diwali and Lakshmi pooja: the green and red Lotus Candle (Rs 349) in the mandir, with Matki Candles (Rs 599) at the door. Together Rs 948.
• Housewarming: the Heart Rope Candles set (Rs 999), which ships free and looks complete in its box.
• A garden or terrace party: two packs of mint Daisy Tealights (Rs 898) along the table.
• A gift for someone who loves plants: the mint Daisy Tealights, which look like a little row of flowers on a window sill.

A note on shades

Our greens are soft, natural greens: leaf, sage and mint. If you want a bright parrot green or an emerald for a theme party, you may find our pieces too gentle, and a craft seller with dyed candles will be a better match. Hand-poured colour can also shift slightly between batches.

What we do not make in green

• Plain green pillar or taper candles: home decor stores and marketplaces. Our pillar candles come in ivory, pink, blue, yellow and navy.
• Green scented candles (green tea, eucalyptus, basil, mint fragrance): a home fragrance brand. Our green candles are decorative and have no fragrance listed.
• Green Christmas candles in bulk: a wholesale supplier.
• Green candles today, near you: we have no shop, so for a same-day need try a local gift or general store.

Safety: Green candles online in India

Keep candles with wax flowers or leaves on a heat-proof plate, trim the wick to about 5 mm, keep them away from torans and real leaves, and never leave them unattended.
