One chest, three kinds of anniversary

An anniversary hamper is bought for one of three couples: your own partner, your parents or in-laws, or a couple you are friends with. Each wants something different. A box of chocolates and a printed mug suit none of them for long. A chest of candles you chose yourself suits all three, because you pick the pieces for the couple and write the message.

Each piece is charged at its shop price, plus the chest style; choose 4 or more pieces and 10% comes off the pieces. The builder shows the full price before checkout. Add the chest style on top. A fourth piece takes 10% off all four pieces.

Your own partner. Two sculpted peonies, one deep rose and one ivory, are the bouquet that does not wilt. Ten red heart tealights are for the evening itself: lay them on the table or spell something on the floor. Vanilla Reverie, our only scented candle, is for the bedroom afterwards.

Your parents or in-laws. Gold and cream, for a couple who has kept a home for decades: the urli pair with gold rims for the door, the gold-flecked shankh for the mandir, and a lotus. For a silver or golden anniversary, add the Diya Candles at Rs 449 as a fourth piece and the 10% comes off.

Friends. Two pairs of conch-shaped vessels, one marbled and one in sky blue and sand beige, and a single rope-rimmed heart. It is warm without being too personal.

Making it feel like their anniversary, not any anniversary

• Count the years in the message. "Ten years since the shaadi in Ludhiana" is worth more than any card.
• Match the pieces to their home. A couple in a one-room flat needs pieces that sit on a shelf; a family home has a mandir and a dining table to fill.
• Pairs where you can. The Floral Candle Duo, Urli Candles, Marble Seashell and Seashell Candles all come as two pieces, which reads naturally as one for each of them.
• One scent at most. Only Vanilla Reverie is scented. Every other piece is a shaped soy candle with no fragrance stated.

If you are late, or far away

Anniversaries tend to sneak up. We do not promise a delivery date: orders dispatch in 24 to 48 hours and arrive 2 to 7 days after dispatch, so check the estimate for their pincode on the product page before you order. If the day is too close, order anyway and say so in the message; a chest that arrives three days late with an honest note is still a better gift than a rushed one.

For parents in another city, ship it straight to them with your names in the message.

What we do not put in an anniversary hamper

No cake, flowers, chocolates, wine or photo frames: our chest is only candles. Flowers and cake come best from a local florist and bakery near the couple, and many people order those for the day and send the candle chest as the gift that stays. If you want their names or their wedding date on a candle, ask through custom orders with the idea and the date; custom pieces cannot be returned unless damaged or wrong.

Payment and returns

Prepaid only, by UPI, card, net banking or wallet; no cash on delivery. Orders of Rs 999 or more ship free; below that, Rs 79. Report damage within 24 hours of delivery for a replacement or refund.

For the couple: trim each wick to about 5 mm, keep each burn to 3 to 4 hours, and never leave a candle burning alone.
