A candle hamper you put together yourself

Most gift hampers in India are a basket of mixed things: dry fruits, chocolates, a mug, sometimes a candle tucked in the corner. Raajkosh does one part of that properly. Our gift chest builder lets you fill a chest with 3 to 6 pieces from our handmade soy wax range, pick the chest style, the ribbon and a personal message, and we deliver it anywhere in India.

Two rules worth knowing before you start:

• Each piece is charged at its listed price, plus the chest style you choose. The builder shows the full price before you add the chest to your bag. We do not list the chest price here, so the totals below are for the pieces only.
• Choose 4 or more pieces and you get 10% off the pieces.

One honest note: the site lists ready-made "Gift Hampers" and "Bundles & Hampers" as coming soon. Today, the chest you build is the hamper.

Three-piece chests, priced piece by piece

A three-piece chest is the simplest hamper. At three pieces, the pieces cost exactly their shop prices:

Add the chest style to each total. Add a fourth piece and the 10% comes off all the pieces; the builder shows the new figure.

How to make a hamper feel chosen, not assembled

• One hero, two supporting pieces. Put a larger piece in the middle (Marble Seashell, Shankh, Urli) and let smaller ones sit around it.
• One colour story. All pastels, or all festive reds and golds. A hamper with every colour looks random.
• At most one scent. Vanilla Reverie is our only scented candle; everything else is a shaped candle with no fragrance stated, so the chest never clashes.
• Write the message yourself. The builder gives you a message step. Two lines in your own words beat a printed greeting.

Picking the pieces by who opens it

• Parents or grandparents: festive and useful in the mandir. Urli, Diya, Lotus.
• A friend or sister: pretty and a little playful. The Teddy Gift Candle at Rs 599, Daisy Tealights, Blossom.
• A couple: pieces that come in pairs. Floral Candle Duo, Marble Seashell, Seashell.
• Someone you do not know well: neutral shapes and no hearts. Spiral Pillars, Sunflower Tealights, Braided.

Hampers for a new home

For a griha pravesh or a friend's first flat, a new home hamper works best with pieces for different rooms: the Shankh Candle (Rs 799) for the mandir, the Braided Candles (Rs 849) for the dining table, and Vanilla Reverie (Rs 549) for the bedroom. Those three come to Rs 2,197 for the pieces.

What our hamper is not

A Raajkosh chest is a candle hamper. If you want a hamper of dry fruits, chocolates, tea, wine, skincare or a mix of everything, buy it from a gifting site, a premium sweet shop or a gourmet store: they do those well and many deliver fast in big cities. A candle chest is the better pick when you want everything in the box to be handmade, to last after the occasion, and to look good on a shelf.

If you searched for a hamper shop near you, Raajkosh has no shop: we make the pieces in Jalandhar and ship across India. For a business order of 10 or more hampers with your logo and a GST invoice, use corporate gifting.

Delivery, payment and care

Orders dispatch in 24 to 48 hours and arrive 2 to 7 days after dispatch. Orders of Rs 999 or more ship free; below that shipping is Rs 79. Payment is prepaid only; no cash on delivery. Damage reported within 24 hours of delivery is replaced or refunded.

Tell the person who opens it: trim each wick to about 5 mm, keep each burn to 3 to 4 hours, and never leave a candle burning alone.
