Key takeaways
- Build her chest from 3 to 6 handmade soy candles, then chest, ribbon and message
- Teddy Gift, Heart Bubble and Blossom come to Rs 1,147 for the pieces
- Chest style is charged on top; 4+ pieces get 10% off the pieces
- Raksha Bandhan is in August: order early and check her pincode estimate
- It is a candle hamper; buy sweets or chocolates elsewhere
A hamper for her, on the day she ties the rakhi
On Raksha Bandhan the brother gives, and most brothers end up with the same choice: cash in an envelope, a box of chocolates, or something rushed from a mall. A hamper she will actually keep is a better answer. On Raajkosh you build it yourself in the gift chest builder: choose 3 to 6 handmade soy candles, then the chest style, a ribbon and a personal message, and we deliver it across India.
How the price works: each piece is charged at its shop price, plus the chest style you choose. Pick 4 or more pieces and 10% comes off the pieces. The builder shows the full price before you pay, so the figures on this page are for the pieces only.
Raksha Bandhan falls in August. If you are reading this in another month, bookmark it, or use the same chest for her birthday.
Three chests, matched to three kinds of sister
| Your sister | Pieces | Pieces total |
|---|---|---|
| Still loves cute things | Teddy Gift Candle Rs 599 + Heart Bubble Candle Rs 249 + Blossom Candle Rs 299 | Rs 1,147 |
| Has her own flat now | Marble Seashell Candles Rs 999 + Vanilla Reverie Rs 549 + Daisy Tealights Rs 449 | Rs 1,997 |
| Keeps the mandir at home | Lotus Candle Rs 349 + Diya Candles Rs 449 + Shankh Candle Rs 799 | Rs 1,597 |
Add the chest style to each. Add a fourth piece, for example a Blossom Candle to the mandir chest, and the 10% comes off all four pieces.
Why a candle chest works between a brother and a sister
- It is not a sweet box. She will get mithai from every relative that week. A chest of candles is the one gift on the table that stays on her shelf after the festival.
- It suits her life, not yours. A college sister in a hostel room gets small pieces that look good unlit. A married sister setting up her home gets pieces for her mandir or her dining table.
- The message is the real gift. The builder has a message step. Two lines about something only the two of you remember beat any printed card.
- Only one piece has a scent. Vanilla Reverie is our only scented candle, a vanilla jar in amber glass. Every other piece is a shaped soy candle with no fragrance stated, so nothing in the chest fights for attention.
Younger sister, elder sister, or didi far away
A younger sister in school or college: keep it playful and small. The Teddy Gift Candle, a Heart Bubble Candle and a Blossom Candle are cute enough to sit on a study desk, and she does not need to light them to enjoy them.
An elder sister, or didi with a family of her own: give her something for the house. The Urli Candles at Rs 699 are a pair for either side of her door, and they pair well with the Lotus and the Diya Candles for a festive chest. The three come to Rs 1,497 for the pieces.
A sister in another city: ship the chest straight to her and put your name in the message. If you also need to post the rakhi itself, our page on what to send your sister with the rakhi covers what travels well.

What this hamper does not include
This is a candle hamper and nothing else. If your sister wants chocolates, dry fruits, a kurta, skincare or a rakhi thali in the box, buy those from a gifting site, a sweet shop or a clothing store; they do them well. Many brothers send both: the sweets from a local shop, and the candle chest as the part she keeps.
If you want her name on a candle or a colour we do not stock, ask through custom orders. Tell us the idea and the date, and we will tell you what we can make. Custom pieces cannot be returned unless they arrive damaged or wrong.
Ordering for August
Orders dispatch in 24 to 48 hours and arrive 2 to 7 days after dispatch. We do not promise a delivery date, so order well before Raksha Bandhan and check the delivery estimate for her pincode on the product page. Orders of Rs 999 or more ship free; below that, shipping is Rs 79. Payment is prepaid only (UPI, card, net banking or wallet); there is no cash on delivery. If anything arrives damaged, report it within 24 hours of delivery for a replacement or refund.
A line for her when she lights one: trim the wick to about 5 mm, keep each burn to 3 to 4 hours, and never leave it burning alone.
