A desk needs one good object, not five

An office table has very little spare room: a laptop, a monitor, a notebook, a mug and a phone take most of it. Good office table decoration is one or two small objects that make the desk yours, stay out of the way, and do not need care. A plant is the classic choice. A sculpted candle is another, because at Raajkosh our soy wax pieces are made to look like objects first, so they decorate a desk even when they are never lit.

That matters at work. Most offices do not allow open flames on the floor. Treat these as decor on your desk and light them at home if you want to.

Desk pieces, by how much space you have

All hand-poured in pure soy wax in Jalandhar. Shop prices.

Choosing for your desk

• Match your desk, not the season. A navy or ivory spiral suits a dark wood or grey laminate table. The Heart Bubble Candle suits a white desk.
• Stability first. A desk gets bumped. The bubble, blossom and seashell pieces sit flat. A single spiral pillar needs a small holder or a coaster.
• Mind the sun. Wax softens in direct heat. Keep the piece away from a window that gets afternoon sun and from the top of a warm CPU.
• Scent at work. Vanilla Reverie is our only scented candle; we would not put it on a shared office desk. The pieces above have no fragrance stated and are about shape and colour.
• Religious pieces. A lotus beside a small Ganesh idol is common on Indian desks. In a shared office, a neutral piece such as the seashell pair is the safer choice for a common table.

Other office table decoration items

People also put small succulents or a money plant in a glass bottle, a photo frame, a desk organiser, a mini whiteboard or a calendar, a small Buddha or Ganesh figure, a brass bell, and fairy lights around a partition. Plants and organisers come from a nursery or a stationery shop. Our pieces are the decorative object in that mix, and we make nothing else on this list.

Decorating many desks at once

If the office manager wants a matching piece on every desk, for a new office, a refurbished floor or a festival, order through raajkosh.com/corporate. It starts at 10 pieces with no minimum order value, comes with a GST invoice in your company's name, and can be delivered to the office. The quote confirms the final price per piece and the lead time. At shop prices, 30 single Spiral Pillar Candles in one colour come to Rs 5,370 and 30 Blossom Candles to Rs 8,970.
