Is Raajkosh genuine? Who we are, where our candles are made, and how to check us before you pay

Who runs Raajkosh

Raajkosh is a new, small business, and we would rather you check us than trust us. Here is everything you need to do that.

Raajkosh is not RajKosh, the treasury portal

If you search the name, you may also find RajKosh, an official e-governance treasury portal of the Government of Rajasthan. That is a different thing altogether. Raajkosh (राजकोश, "the royal treasury") is a candle and gifting brand from Jalandhar, Punjab, with its own website at raajkosh.com. We have no link to any government portal.

Where and how the candles are made

Every candle is hand-poured in pure soy wax in our workshop in Jalandhar, then finished and packed by hand. Each product page says this in the first line. The range today is 19 shaped candles: diyas, matkis, an urli pair, a shankh, a lotus, seashells, tealights, teddies, hearts, spiral pillars, braided and rope candles, florals, and one scented jar, Vanilla Reverie. The other 18 are decorative and have no fragrance stated.

Prices start at Rs 179 for a single Spiral Pillar Candle and go up to Rs 999 for the Marble Seashell Candles pair. Every price includes GST.

How to check any small candle brand before you pay, us included

1. Find the legal name, address and GSTIN. A real Indian seller must show them. You can look up any GSTIN on the government GST portal's public search, and the first two digits tell you the state.
2. Read the returns policy before you pay. Ours is short: ask for a return within 24 hours of delivery; if a candle arrives damaged and you tell us within 24 hours, we replace it or refund you; refunds go back within 5 to 7 working days of approval.
3. See how payment is taken. We take prepaid orders only, through Razorpay (UPI, cards, net banking and wallets), with checkout handled by Shopify. There is no cash on delivery. Paying through a known gateway gives you that gateway's records of the payment.
4. Message them first. Send a WhatsApp to +91 85958 24586 before ordering and see how quickly and how clearly you get an answer.
5. Look for a GST invoice. We send one with every order, and you can ask for it in your business name within 24 hours of ordering.

What we cannot show you yet

We are new, so we have no long list of customer reviews, no marketplace ratings and no press yet, and we will not invent any. If you need a brand with years of public reviews behind it, a large marketplace seller is the safer choice for now. If you are happy to judge a small maker on its details, its policies and a direct conversation, we are easy to reach.

Ordering, delivery and help

• Dispatch in 24 to 48 hours; delivery takes 2 to 7 days after dispatch, anywhere in India our courier partners serve.
• Free shipping on orders of Rs 999 or more; Rs 79 below that.
• Cancel free of charge before dispatch.
• If something goes wrong, write to maharani@raajkosh.com. Complaints are acknowledged within 48 hours and resolved within one month. You can also contact the National Consumer Helpline on 1915.
