Corporate gifts from a gifting company or straight from the maker? When each is the better buy, with a side-by-side
Order from a corporate gifting company when one box must hold many brands' products, or when you want one vendor for the whole year's gifting. Order direct from a maker when the gift is mainly one product and you want to see it, know who made it and pay the maker's own price. Raajkosh sells its handmade soy wax candles direct, from 10 gifts, with your logo and a GST invoice.

Key takeaways
- A mixed box of many brands: use a corporate gifting company.
- A gift built around one product: buying direct from the maker is usually better.
- Neither is always cheaper; compare quotes from the same brief.
- Raajkosh is the maker: from 10 gifts, logo on tag, card or wax seal, GST invoice, prepaid.
The one-line answer
If your gift is a mix of products from many brands (sweets, a bottle, a notebook and a candle in one box), a corporate gifting company is the better choice, because it does the sourcing and packing for you. If the gift is mainly one product, buying direct from the maker is usually better: you see the real item, you deal with the people who make it, and nobody in between adds a margin.
Three common set-ups:
- Gifting company for everything. One vendor, one invoice, many brands. Best for large companies with a procurement team and mixed hampers.
- Direct from makers for each gift. Best for a signature gift, a festive gift or a client gift built around one product.
- Both. A gifting company or printer for joining merchandise, and a maker for Diwali and client gifts. This is what many mid-size teams end up doing.
Gifting company and maker, point by point
| What you care about | Corporate gifting company | Direct from the maker |
|---|---|---|
| Range | Many brands in one box | One maker's range only |
| Seeing the product | Catalogue photos; samples on request | Buy one from the maker's shop first |
| Price | Maker's price plus the company's service | The maker's own price |
| Branding | Often printed on the product | Often on the packaging, tag or seal |
| Who answers when something breaks | The company, which goes back to the maker | The maker, directly |
| Minimum order | Varies; some want large numbers | Varies; ours is 10 gifts |
| Paperwork | One GST invoice for the whole box | One GST invoice per maker |
| Delivery to many addresses | Usually offered | Offered by some makers; we do it |
Neither is always cheaper. A gifting company can buy well and save you time; a maker can skip a layer. Compare quotes with the same brief.
What buying direct from us looks like
Raajkosh is the maker: we hand-pour pure soy wax candles in Jalandhar, Punjab, and sell them on raajkosh.com. For a company order:
- From 10 gifts, no minimum order value. Fewer than 10, order from the shop.
- Your logo on the gift tag, note card or a wax seal. The options and the lead time depend on quantity and date and are confirmed in the quote.
- GST invoice in your company's billing name, address and GSTIN.
- Delivery to one office or to every address on your list, across India.
- Prepaid, as set out in the quote. No cash on delivery.
- Mixed boxes are possible, but only from our own pieces: for example Marble Seashell Candles (Rs 999 shop price) with a Spiral Pillar Candle (Rs 179), Rs 1,178 together.
You can see every piece and its shop price before you ask: Urli Candles Rs 699 a pair, Shankh Candle Rs 799, Diya Candles Rs 449 for six. Your quote confirms the final price per gift with branding and delivery. Our full corporate terms are on one answer page.
When the gifting company is the right call
Be honest with yourself about the brief. Use a gifting company, not us, when:
- The box needs food, tech or apparel alongside a candle. We only make candles, and we will not source other brands' goods.
- You want your logo printed on the product itself.
- You need one vendor to run every gifting moment across the year, with a single account manager.
- Your office bans open flames. Our candles can sit unlit as decor, but a gifting company can offer something else entirely.
And use a maker when the gift is the product: a Diwali set the family lights at home, a client thank-you, a joining piece people keep.
A quick way to decide
Write your gift in one sentence. If the sentence has one product in it ("a handmade diya set for every employee"), go direct. If it has four ("a box with sweets, a mug, a diary and a diya"), go to a gifting company, or buy the candle part from us and the rest elsewhere.
We are new to corporate gifting and have no client list to show. What we can show is the product, its price and our terms. If you want to check us first, read who makes our candles.
Ask the maker directly
Send us the number, budget per gift, date, branding and addresses at raajkosh.com/corporate, or WhatsApp +91 85958 24586.

Frequently asked
- Often, because there is no layer in between, but not always. A gifting company may buy well. Send both the same brief and compare.
