Decor for an office Diwali pooja: a setup list for the Lakshmi Ganesh puja at work, and the pieces we make for it

An office Diwali pooja needs a chowki, the idols, a kalash, flowers and light. For the light and the centrepiece, Raajkosh makes Diya Candles (Rs 449 for 6), a Lotus Candle (Rs 349) and a Shankh Candle (Rs 799); the three together are Rs 1,597.

The office pooja in one corner

Many Indian offices, shops and factories hold a Lakshmi Ganesh puja before Diwali: in the reception, a conference room or the owner's cabin, often with the account books or the laptop placed for blessing. The setup is smaller than a home mandir but more visible, because clients and staff walk past it all week. It needs to look complete, stay tidy for several days, and be easy for one admin person to set up and clear away.

The setup list, piece by piece

What an office puja usually needs, and where offices buy each:

  1. A chowki with a red or yellow cloth: from a puja samagri shop or a marketplace.
  2. Lakshmi and Ganesh idols or a framed picture: from a puja shop or an idol seller. Many offices reuse the same pair each year.
  3. A kalash with mango leaves and a coconut: from the local market on the morning of the puja.
  4. Marigold garlands and a toran for the doorway: fresh from a flower seller, or reusable fabric torans from decor stores.
  5. Rangoli in front of the chowki: powder from a samagri shop, or rangoli stickers if the floor is carpet.
  6. Light for the aarti and for the week: clay diyas with oil from the market, LED diyas from electrical stores, or wax diyas and tealights from candle makers.
  7. A centrepiece beside the idols that looks good in photos all week: this is where a handmade piece earns its place.

The Raajkosh pieces for the puja

We make items 6 and 7, by hand, in pure soy wax in Jalandhar:

  • Diya Candles, Rs 449 for six terracotta-red diyas with a carved lattice rim. They hold wax instead of oil, so nothing spills on the chowki cloth or the rangoli.
  • Lotus Candle, Rs 349, layered petals in green and red or coral pink. The lotus is Lakshmi's flower, which makes it the natural centrepiece in front of her.
  • Shankh Candle, Rs 799, a decorative shankh vessel in cream and caramel with pink wax lotuses. It is a candle, not a conch to blow, and sits beside the idols as the conch of the aarti.
  • Urli Candles, Rs 699 for a pair of flower-shaped urli bowls with a gold rim, for either side of the office entrance.
  • Matki Candles, Rs 599 for four hand-painted red pots, along a step or a reception ledge.

Three puja sizes, priced

Office Pieces Total at shop prices Shipping
Small office or a shop counter Diya Candles plus a Lotus Candle Rs 798 Rs 79
Reception puja Diya Candles, Lotus Candle, Shankh Candle Rs 1,597 free
Puja plus entrance Diya Candles, Shankh Candle, Urli Candles Rs 1,947 free

Orders of Rs 999 or more ship free; below that, delivery is Rs 79. The site banner says "Order by 4 November for Diwali delivery"; check the estimate for your pincode on the product page. We dispatch in 24 to 48 hours and do not promise a delivery date.

For the aarti, light the diyas on a brass or steel thali with one person watching, and put them out after. If your building bans open flames, ask facility management first and keep the lotus and shankh as unlit decor; they look finished without a flame.

Puja decor plus a Diwali gift for staff

If the company is also giving staff or dealers something for their own Lakshmi puja, that is a corporate order. Raajkosh takes them from 10 gifts, no minimum order value, with your logo on the gift tag, the note card or a wax seal. The branding and lead time are confirmed in the quote. You get a GST invoice, delivery to one office or every address across India, and the order is prepaid as the quote sets out. Branded gifts cannot be returned unless damaged, defective or wrong. Read Raajkosh corporate gifting: minimum order, logo and GST for the full terms.

What we do not make for the puja

We do not sell idols, chowkis, kalash sets, garlands, rangoli or LED lights; buy those from a samagri shop or a decor store. If you need everything delivered as one puja kit on a fixed morning, a local samagri vendor who delivers by hand is the safer choice.
