What to send your clients this year

If you are sending gifts to 10 or more clients, pick one handmade piece in the Rs 500 to Rs 999 band, put your logo on the tag or the note card, and ship it to each client's own office. That is what we do at Raajkosh: hand-poured soy wax candles made in Jalandhar, from 10 gifts, with a GST invoice in your company's name and delivery to one address or to every address on your list.

The three pieces most companies start with for clients:

• Shankh Candle, Rs 799: a cream and caramel conch filled with gold-flecked wax and pink wax lotuses. It looks considered on a client's desk and suits Diwali or a new year.
• Urli Candles, Rs 699: a pair of flower-shaped urli bowls with a gold rim and a wax sunflower. Good for clients who keep a mandir or a reception table.
• Vanilla Reverie, Rs 549: our one scented candle, vanilla in an amber glass jar with a screw lid. The safe pick when you do not know the client's taste.

These are shop prices. Your quote confirms the final price per gift with branding and delivery. Start the quote at raajkosh.com/corporate.

Pieces that work on a client list

Sorting your list by account

Most client lists are not flat. A simple way to split one:

1. Top accounts. The five or ten people who carry the year. A set in one gift box, such as the Marble Seashell pair with a spiral pillar, sits above Rs 1,000. At shop prices, 10 such boxes come to Rs 11,780.
2. Regular clients. One signature piece. 25 Shankh Candles at shop price are Rs 19,975; 40 pairs of Urli Candles are Rs 27,960.
3. Partners, vendors and referrers. Vanilla Reverie works here and travels well because of the lid.

You tell us the number in each group and the budget per gift, and the quote comes back with pieces for each.

A few things to settle before you ask:

• Your client's office rules. Some offices do not allow open flames. A handmade candle still works as decor there, but say so on the card, or pick a different gift for that client.
• Gift policies. Some companies, banks and government bodies cap what their staff may accept. A Rs 549 jar is easier to accept than a hamper.
• The words on the card. Your logo goes on the tag, the note card or a wax seal. Your own message inside the card does more than the logo does.

How the order runs

1. Tell us the number of gifts, the budget per gift, your date, the branding you want, and whether it ships to one address or many.
2. We send a quote with the pieces, branding options, timeline and price with GST. The exact branding and the lead time depend on the quantity and your date, and both are confirmed in the quote before you commit.
3. You approve and pay. Orders are prepaid, as set out in the quote. There is no cash on delivery.
4. We pack each gift and deliver to your office or to every client address, with a GST invoice carrying your billing name, address and GSTIN.

From 10 gifts, with no minimum order value. For fewer than 10, order straight from the shop.

Other client gifts companies send

A candle is not right for every client. Companies also send dry fruits and sweets (eaten and shared in a week), plants for the office, tech accessories, branded apparel and gift vouchers. Specialist corporate gifting companies handle large catalogues and printed merchandise. Choose a handmade piece when you want the gift to stay on the client's shelf and to look chosen, not ordered from a catalogue. If you want a wider look at handmade options first, we wrote about handmade gifts for clients.

The small print that matters

Branded and personalised gifts cannot be returned unless they arrive damaged, defective or wrong. Report damage within 24 hours of delivery for a replacement or refund. We cannot promise a delivery date, so ask early and give us your date in the enquiry. Every candle should be burned on a stable, heat-proof surface and never left unattended; keep each burn to 3 to 4 hours.
