A modest thank-you to the supply side of your year

Vendors and suppliers are the one group most companies forget in December. The transporter who never missed a pickup, the printer who turned a file round overnight, the packaging supplier, the facility team's contractor. A year-end gift to them is a thank-you, not a sales tool, so it should be modest, identical for everyone at one level, and addressed to a person, not just a firm.

A quotable shortlist, by what the gift needs to do:

1. A shareable food box (sweets, dry fruits, a plum cake) from a local mithai shop or a large gifting portal: right for a vendor's whole shop floor or warehouse crew, gone in a week.
2. A desk calendar or diary with your logo from a merchandise printer: useful in January, and the most common vendor gift for that reason.
3. A small potted plant from a plant gifting company: suits a supplier with an office desk, less so a godown.
4. Picking the right gift for each vendor

• Who receives it. A trucking contractor's crew wants something shared; the owner of a design agency you outsource to will keep a desk piece. Split your list into "teams" and "individuals" before you choose.
• One level, one gift. Suppliers talk to each other. Give every vendor in the same tier the same piece, and keep a separate, slightly larger gift for the two or three you depend on most.
• Keep it small. A year-end vendor gift should never look like it is buying next year's rates. Many companies, and many vendors, have a gift policy with a value limit: check your own policy, and theirs if you know it, before you set the budget.
• Say what they did. "Thank you for every on-time delivery in 2026" on the card does more than any upgrade to the gift.

• From 10 gifts, no minimum order value. Under 10, order straight from the shop.
• Your logo on the gift tag, the note card or a wax seal. The exact options depend on quantity and your date and are confirmed in the quote.
• GST invoice in your company's billing name, with your GSTIN, so accounts can book it as a business expense under your own rules.
• One address or many. Send everything to your office for your purchase team to hand over, or to each vendor's address from a list.
• Prepaid, as set out in the quote. No cash on delivery.
• The quote confirms the pieces, the branding, the timeline and the final price per gift. We do not publish lead times or bulk rates.
• Branded gifts cannot be returned unless damaged, defective or wrong; report damage within 24 hours of delivery for a replacement or refund.

When a candle is the wrong vendor gift

• Your vendor works out of a warehouse, a site or a vehicle. A food box they can open together is better.
• The vendor is a government body or a PSU unit. Many have strict rules on accepting gifts. Check your own policy and send a card instead if in doubt.
• You need it on a fixed date in the last week of December. We confirm the timeline in the quote and do not promise a delivery date, so order early or choose a local seller.
• You want printed merchandise with the logo on the product itself. A merchandise printer does that; we brand the tag, card or seal.
