White candles online in India: ivory and white soy candles, from a Rs 179 spiral to a heart bubble

The white candles we make

Most of our range is in colour, so here is the honest list of what comes in white or ivory:

• Plain ivory pillar: Spiral Pillar Candles in Ivory, Rs 179 each. A tall twisted pillar, all one colour.
• Plain white shape: Heart Bubble Candle in White, Rs 249. A heart made of rounded bubbles.
• Ivory with a little colour: Blossom Candle, Rs 299. A round ivory candle wrapped in pink and yellow wax blossoms.

A note on the word: our "ivory" is a soft, warm white, close to the natural colour of soy wax. It is not the bright blue-white of a hotel pillar. If you need a pure, cold white to match white marble or a white wedding theme exactly, see the alternatives section below.

Why people buy white candles

White is the colour people choose when the candle should not compete with anything else. The usual reasons:

• A calm table or shelf in a white, beige or wood room, where coloured candles would look busy.
• Weddings, engagements and anniversaries, where white and ivory match flowers and table linen.
• Prayer and remembrance, for a quiet corner, a condolence or a memorial.
• Mixing with colour: one or two ivory candles next to coloured ones make the colours look cleaner.

Building a white candle set

We do not sell an all-white boxed set, so you put one together from singles. Some combinations, with the maths done:

• Three ivory spirals for a table runner: 3 x Rs 179 = Rs 537.
• Five ivory spirals for a long dining table: 5 x Rs 179 = Rs 895. Add a Rs 179 spiral or any small item and the order ships free.
• Two white heart bubbles for a couple's gift: 2 x Rs 249 = Rs 498.
• One of each plain white: ivory spiral and white heart bubble, Rs 179 + Rs 249 = Rs 428.

If you would rather have colour in the mix, the Spiral Pillar Candles set of five (Rs 799) has one ivory and four colours.

Where to buy white candles if ours are not what you need

• Bright white plain pillars in many sizes: home stores and large marketplaces stock unscented white pillar candles from small to very large. Check the listing for the wax type.
• White candles in bulk for a church, gurdwara langar hall or a big event: wholesale portals sell by the carton.
• White tealights in metal cups for holders and lanterns: supermarkets sell packs of 50 and 100.
• A white scented candle: our scented candle, Vanilla Reverie (Rs 549), is cream wax in an amber jar, not white. Scented-candle brands carry white jar candles in many fragrances.

Keeping a white candle clean and safe

White wax shows soot and fingerprints first, so trim the wick to about 5 mm before every use and handle the candle by its base. Burn it on a stable, heat-proof surface away from drafts, never leave it unattended, and do not burn it for more than 3 to 4 hours at a time.
