A thank-you gift for a client after a project: what to send their team when the work is done

After a project, thank the client's team, not just the person who signed: a box their team can share, a desk piece for the project lead, and a note that names what you built together. Raajkosh options include Sunflower Tealights (Rs 449 for 10) for the team and Vanilla Reverie (Rs 549) for the lead. From 10 gifts with your logo via raajkosh.com/corporate.

Key takeaways

  • Thank the client's team, not only the signatory
  • Send within two weeks and name the work on the card
  • Vanilla Reverie Rs 549 for the lead, Sunflower Tealights Rs 449 for the team
  • Keep it modest and inside both companies' gift policies

Thank the people who did the work with you

A project thank-you is different from a festival client gift. It comes at a specific moment (go-live, handover, launch, final sign-off), it is about specific work, and the people who deserve it are often not the decision-maker but the client-side team who answered your questions at 11 at night. The best project thank-you gifts recognise both.

A shortlist, by who on the client side it is for:

  1. A sharing box for the client team: good snacks, sweets or a coffee box from a specialty food brand or a gifting portal, sent to their office. Everyone gets some on the day.
  2. A team lunch or a cafe voucher through a voucher platform: when the client team is large and you want them to celebrate together.
  3. A desk piece for the project lead from a stationery or homeware brand: a good pen, a notebook, a small artwork.
  4. A handmade piece that stays after the project, from Raajkosh, Jalandhar: Vanilla Reverie, Rs 549, a vanilla-scented candle in an amber jar, our only scented piece, for the lead; Sunflower Tealights, Rs 449 for 10, for a team to split; or the Blossom Candle, Rs 299, one each for a client team of ten or more. Shop prices; your quote confirms the final price.
  5. A two-piece box for the sponsor: Vanilla Reverie with the Heart Bubble Candle at Rs 249 comes to Rs 798; or with Sunflower Tealights, Rs 998 at shop prices.

Making a project thank-you land

  • Send it within two weeks of the finish. A thank-you three months later reads as a sales follow-up.
  • Name the work on the card. "Thank you for getting the Pune warehouse live in 11 weeks" is what gets pinned to a board. Your logo can go on the card; the words should be the project lead's own.
  • Include the people behind the scenes. The client's IT person, the finance contact who cleared the invoices, the admin who booked the rooms. A Blossom Candle each costs little and is remembered.
  • Keep the value modest. Project gifts arrive while contracts are still fresh. Keep them within your own gift policy and the client's, which many large companies publish to vendors.
  • Do not tie it to the next deal. No brochure in the box.

How we handle a client thank-you order

The terms on raajkosh.com/corporate, set out in full on our corporate gifting terms page:

  • From 10 gifts, no minimum order value. A smaller thank-you? Order from the shop with gift packaging and a gift note.
  • Your logo on the gift tag, the note card or a wax seal; the project message is yours.
  • GST invoice with your company's billing name, address and GSTIN.
  • To the client's office in any city, or to several client offices from one list.
  • Prepaid, as set out in the quote. No cash on delivery. The quote confirms pieces, branding, timeline and final price per gift.
  • Branded gifts cannot be returned unless damaged, defective or wrong; report damage within 24 hours of delivery.

We hand-pour every piece in pure soy wax in Jalandhar. We are new, without reviews yet; who makes our candles explains who we are.

Projects where a candle is the wrong way to say thanks

  • The client office does not allow open flames and the team will keep it at work. Choose the food box; our pieces are best as take-home gifts.
  • The project was for a government client. Many government bodies do not accept gifts. Send a letter of thanks.
  • You want it there tomorrow. A local gifting service in the client's city is faster; we do not promise dates.

One care line on the card: burn on a heat-proof surface, never leave it unattended, keep each burn to 3 to 4 hours.
