Raajkosh makes hand-poured soy wax candles in Jalandhar. We do not sell rakhis, rakhi thalis, roli-chawal sets or sweets. If you want a rakhi with your brother's photo or name on it, a rakhi seller or a photo-print site will do that. What we can and cannot customise, for any occasion, is in our customised gifts guide.

What we can do is the gift that goes with it. Through our custom orders page, where Rakhi is one of the occasions on the enquiry form, we make candles in the colours you ask for, with your brother's or sister's name, a nickname or a message on the tag, and a custom fragrance if you want one. We reply with what we can make, a timeline and a price.

What to write on a Rakhi tag

Use what your family actually says. "Bhaiya", "Veerji", "Dada", "Anna", "Didi", "Behna", "Chutki". A Punjabi family will read "Mere Veer" more warmly than "Dear Brother".

Other short lines that work:

His name with "Raksha Bandhan" and the year, so it becomes a keepsake.
The two of your names: "Kunal and Pihu, always".
For a brother abroad: "From home, with the rakhi".
For bhaiya and bhabhi together, if you also tie a lumba: both names on one tag.

Time it with the rakhi in the post

Raksha Bandhan falls on a fixed day, so plan backwards. For a custom piece, write to us early with your date; we confirm the timeline in our reply and never promise one on a page. For a shop piece with a gift note, orders dispatch in 24 to 48 hours and arrive 2 to 7 days after dispatch. Check the delivery estimate for his or her pincode on the product page before you pay.

We cannot pack your rakhi inside our parcel, because we ship from Jalandhar. Post the rakhi separately, or order the candle to your own address and hand both over together.

Prices for a Rakhi budget

At today's shop prices: a navy Spiral Pillar with Diya Candles is Rs 628. Vanilla Reverie with Diya Candles is Rs 998 (plus Rs 79 shipping). A Floral Candle Duo with a Blossom Candle for a sister is Rs 948. Shipping is free on orders of Rs 999 or more. Custom pieces are priced in our reply.

Photo rakhis, name bracelets and hampers: other shops

Photo rakhis, rakhis with names, engraved bracelets, printed mugs and Rakhi hampers with dry fruits and chocolate are all popular personalised Rakhi gifts. Rakhi sellers, photo-print sites and sweet shops do them well. A candle is the choice when you want the gift to stay on a shelf after the mithai is finished.

Payment, returns, safety

Prepaid only: UPI, card, net banking or wallet; no cash on delivery. Shop orders: return request within 24 hours of delivery. Personalised pieces cannot be returned unless they arrive damaged or wrong.

If a candle goes on the rakhi thali, keep it away from the thread and the dupatta, never leave it lit unattended, and keep each burn to 3 to 4 hours.
