A personalised gift for a woman, honestly scoped

When you search for personalised gifts for women, the results are mostly printed and engraved things: name pendants, photo cushions, engraved pens, monogrammed bags. Raajkosh makes none of those. We are a small candle atelier in Jalandhar, and our personalisation is simple: candles hand-poured in pure soy wax, made in the colours you choose, with her name, initials or a message on the tag, and a custom fragrance if you want one. Match the piece to the woman, then personalise it

Personalisation works best on a piece that already suits her. Start with who she is:

Vanilla Reverie is our only scented candle. The others are decorative shaped candles; a fragrance can be added to them only as a custom request.

The three personal touches we can add

1. Her colours. Our colour list runs from ivory, cream and pastel to red, coral, navy, mint, purple, gold and terracotta. If you know the colour of her living room or her favourite saree, tell us, or share a photo.

2. Her name, initials or a message. Names go on gift tags, initials on boxes. Short wording reads best: "For Meera, with thanks", "Happy 60th, Kamla Masi".

3. A fragrance. Describe the scent she likes and we will tell you what we can make.

You share the idea, the quantity and your date. We reply with what is possible, a timeline and a price. You approve and pay; then we start. We do not publish custom prices or lead times, because they change with each request. Please give us as much time before your date as you can.

The faster way: a shop piece and a written note

If the date is close, skip the custom route. Every shop order can carry a gift note and optional gift packaging, so the personal part is your own words. Shop orders dispatch in 24 to 48 hours.

Two pieces together often look more considered than one. At today's prices: Floral Candle Duo with a Blossom Candle is Rs 948 (add Rs 79 shipping), and Marble Seashell Candles with a Blossom Candle is Rs 1,298, shipped free because the order is above Rs 999. For three or more pieces in one box with a message, use the gift chest builder: 3 to 6 pieces, your chest style and ribbon, and 10% off the pieces when you choose 4 or more.

Where to look if she wants something engraved or printed

If she would treasure a name necklace, an engraved watch, a monogrammed leather bag or a printed photo book, go to jewellers, leather goods brands and photo-print sites that personalise; they do it well and we do not. A candle is right when you want something handmade that lives on a shelf and gets lit on a good evening.

We also do not sell LED candles or large scented ranges. For a big choice of scented jars, look at established scented-candle brands.

Delivery, payment and returns

We deliver across India, 2 to 7 days after dispatch. Check the estimate for her pincode on the product page. Shipping is free from Rs 999 and Rs 79 below. Payment is prepaid (UPI, card, net banking or wallet); there is no cash on delivery.

Shop orders: request a return within 24 hours of delivery; refunds go out within 5 to 7 working days of approval. Custom and personalised pieces cannot be returned unless they arrive damaged or wrong.

A lit candle needs a heat-proof surface and someone in the room. Keep each burn to 3 to 4 hours.
