What personal means when the gift is for her

Most personalised gifts for a girlfriend in India are photo prints: a cushion, a mug, a frame, a lamp with your picture. Raajkosh does not make any of those. What we do is quieter: a hand-poured soy wax candle in the colour she loves, with her name or a line only she will understand on the tag, made after you tell us the idea on our custom orders page. There are two ways to do it, and they suit different timelines:

1. A ready shop piece with your own gift note. Every order on raajkosh.com can carry a gift note and optional gift packaging. This is the fast route: it dispatches in 24 to 48 hours like any shop order.
2. A custom piece, by enquiry. You tell us the piece, her colours, her name or initials, and your date. We reply with what is possible, a timeline and a price. You approve, pay, and we start making it. We never guess a custom price or lead time on a page, because it depends on what you ask for.

Three pieces girlfriends actually keep on a shelf

These are the shop pieces that suit a girlfriend best. Each can be sent as it is with a note, or used as the starting point for a custom request.

The Teddy Gift Candle is for a girlfriend who loves cute things. The Floral Candle Duo is the grown-up choice: flowers that do not wilt, for a dressing table. Making it hers, without a photo on it

A candle feels personal when the details are clearly chosen for one person. Ideas that work with what we make:

• Her colour. Our custom colours include ivory, pink, coral, blue, navy, mint, purple, gold, terracotta and pastels. If her room is all mint and ivory, ask for that.
• Her name or a private word on the tag. A nickname, the date you met, the name of the cafe where it started. Keep it short; a tag holds one line.
• A scent she already loves. Custom fragrance is possible by enquiry. Describe it in the form, or tell us the perfume note she likes.
• A box of several small things. Our gift chest builder lets you choose 3 to 6 pieces, a chest style, a ribbon and a personal message. With 4 or more pieces, the pieces are 10% off. The builder shows the full price before checkout.

Budget, sums and what arrives free

At today's shop prices, a Teddy Gift Candle with Heart Tealights comes to Rs 948, just below free shipping, so add Rs 79. A Teddy Gift Candle with the Floral Candle Duo is Rs 1,248 and ships free, because shipping is free on orders of Rs 999 or more. A Heart Bubble Candle on its own is the gentlest budget gift at Rs 249.

When you should buy from someone else

Be honest about what she wants. If she has asked for a photo frame, a printed cushion, an engraved bracelet, a name necklace or a mug with your picture, a candle is the wrong gift. Look at photo-printing gift sites, engraving studios and jewellers who personalise; many deliver within cities quickly. We also cannot do same-day delivery: we ship from Jalandhar.

If she loves strong scented candles and has a favourite large jar brand, our one scented jar is Vanilla Reverie at Rs 549. Our other candles are about shape and colour, not scent.

Ordering for her: the practical bits

Shop orders dispatch in 24 to 48 hours and arrive 2 to 7 days after dispatch, anywhere in India. Check the delivery estimate for her pincode on the product page, and order early for a birthday or anniversary. Payment is prepaid only (UPI, card, net banking or wallet); there is no cash on delivery. You can send it straight to her address with the note.

A shop order can be returned on a request within 24 hours of delivery. Custom and personalised pieces are made for you, so they cannot be returned unless they arrive damaged or wrong.

If you light it: never leave it unattended, burn it on a heat-proof surface, trim the wick to about 5 mm and keep each burn to 3 to 4 hours.
