Peony candles online in India: the peony candle pair and how to use it

Peony candles online in India

Our peony candles come as a pair: the Floral Candle Duo, two peony-shaped flower candles for Rs 649. One is deep rose pink; the other is ivory with pink-tipped petals. Both are hand-poured in pure soy wax in our workshop in Jalandhar and delivered across India.

We sell them as a pair, not one by one, because the two colours are made to sit together.

What makes a peony candle different

A peony is a full, round flower with layer on layer of soft petals. A peony candle copies that shape in wax, so it looks like a real bloom sitting on the table. Compared with a rose candle, a peony looks fuller and softer, and it reads as romantic without being red.

Peony candles are mainly a decor and gift piece. When lit, the petals melt from the centre out, so many buyers light one and keep the other as a flower on the shelf.

Where a peony pair works best

• A bridal or engagement table: the ivory peony suits a white and blush theme; the pink adds colour beside it.
• A dressing table or bedroom shelf: two flowers that do not need water.
• A gift for her: birthdays, Mother's Day, a bridal shower, a thank-you to a friend.
• An anniversary dinner: one peony on each side of the table, with tealights in between.

Pairing the peonies

Orders of Rs 999 or more ship free, so the last two pairings ship free; the first two add Rs 79 shipping, or add any small piece to cross the line.

Is it scented?

No. The Floral Candle Duo has no fragrance added; it is made for the look of the flower. Many "peony" candles sold in India are jar candles with a peony fragrance and no peony shape at all, so check which one you want before you buy. If you want scent, our only scented candle is Vanilla Reverie.

Lighting a flower candle: Peony candles online in India

Place it on a heat-proof plate on a stable surface, away from curtains and dupattas. Trim the wick to about 5 mm, never leave it burning unattended, and stop after 3 to 4 hours at a time.
