New Year gifts for corporate clients: what to send in the first week of January, after the Diwali boxes

A New Year client gift works best as a short, personal start-of-year note with something that stays on the desk or shelf through January: a good calendar or planner, a plant, or a handmade piece such as the Raajkosh Spiral Pillar set of five (Rs 799) or Braided Candles (Rs 849). From 10 gifts with your logo, via raajkosh.com/corporate.

January is when your gift is not lost in a pile

In India, most client gifts arrive in the three weeks before Diwali, and the client's reception is buried in boxes. A New Year gift lands in a quiet week, when people are back at their desks planning the year. That is its advantage, and it changes what to send: something that says "here is to the year we will work on together", not another festival hamper.

Good New Year gifts for corporate clients, by what the gift should do:

  1. A well-made planner or desk calendar from a stationery brand or merchandise printer: used every day in January, the most common New Year client gift for that reason.
  2. A plant for the client's cabin from a plant gifting company: a living thing for a new year.
  3. Gourmet food or a coffee box from a specialty food brand: welcome, though it competes with leftover Diwali sweets.
  4. A handmade piece for the desk or home shelf, from Raajkosh, Jalandhar: the Spiral Pillar Candles set of five, Rs 799, twisted pillars in ivory, pink, blue, yellow and navy that look like decor unlit; Braided Candles, Rs 849 for four round candles with plaited rims; or Vanilla Reverie, Rs 549, our only scented candle, in an amber jar. Shop prices; your quote confirms the final price.
  5. A two-piece box for key accounts: Vanilla Reverie with the Spiral Pillar set comes to Rs 1,348 at shop prices.

Choosing a New Year gift for a client

  • Did they get a Diwali gift from you? If yes, the New Year gift should be smaller and more personal: a single piece and a handwritten note from the person who runs the account. If you skipped Diwali, January is a good place to send your main client gift of the year.
  • Faith-neutral matters most now. New Year is shared by every client, so avoid religious motifs. A spiral pillar or braided set is decor, nothing more.
  • Write a forward-looking note. One line about the project you will do together this year beats a printed "Season's Greetings".
  • Check the client's gift policy. Many large companies and all government bodies have value limits or bans. Check your own policy and theirs if you know it.
  • Time it for the first working days. Offices are often thin between Christmas and 1 January; aim for the first full week of January.

Our terms for client orders

As on raajkosh.com/corporate, and in full on our corporate gifting terms page:

  • From 10 gifts, no minimum order value.
  • Your logo on the gift tag, the note card or a wax seal, with your own New Year message inside.
  • GST invoice with your company's billing name, address and GSTIN.
  • To every client's office, anywhere in India, from your address list.
  • Prepaid, as set out in the quote. No cash on delivery.
  • The quote confirms pieces, branding, timeline and final price per gift. The year-end is busy for couriers; ask in early December.
  • Branded gifts cannot be returned unless damaged, defective or wrong; report damage within 24 hours of delivery.

Each piece is hand-poured in pure soy wax in Jalandhar. We are new and list no reviews; who makes our candles explains who we are.

When to pick a different New Year gift

  • Your client is a government department or PSU. A greeting card is often the only safe choice. Check the rules.
  • You want your logo printed large on the gift itself. A merchandise printer does that; we brand the tag, card or seal.
  • Your clients are mostly abroad. Our delivery is across India; a gifting service in their country will serve them better.
  • You are ordering on 28 December. A local supplier is safer; we do not promise dates.

One care line for the card: burn on a heat-proof surface, never leave it unattended, keep each burn to 3 to 4 hours.
