Navratri return gifts for golu visitors and garba guests: little pots and diyas, priced per guest
For golu visitors and garba-night guests, give a small piece of light: Matki Candles (Rs 599, four painted pots, a nod to the garbo), Diya Candles (Rs 449, six) or Daisy Tealights (Rs 449, ten), shop prices. From 10 gifts with your family name on the tag: raajkosh.com/corporate.

Key takeaways
- Golu visitors need a steady stock of a light gift; garba hosts need one count for one night.
- Lotus Candle Rs 349, Diya Candles or tealight packs Rs 449, Matki Candles Rs 599 (shop prices).
- Matki Candles echo the garbo, the pot with a lamp at the centre of garba.
- Give little girls at kanya pujan a child's gift, not a candle.
Light for nine nights
Navratri return gifts are given in two very different settings. In Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra, families who set up a golu (kolu or bommai kolu) invite women and girls over each evening and send each one home with thamboolam and a small gift. In Gujarat and across the west and north, the host of a garba or dandiya night, or a society committee, gives guests a keepsake. Both are festivals of light, and both suit a little candle.
Raajkosh makes hand-poured soy wax candles in Jalandhar, and for 10 gifts or more we pack them with your family's name on the tag, deliver to your home, and give a GST invoice. Ask at raajkosh.com/corporate and choose "Festive gifting" or "Something else".

| Diya Candles | Six terracotta diyas for the guest's own nine nights, no oil to top up | Rs 449 |
| Daisy Tealights | Ten tealights, mint and ivory or purple and ivory | Rs 449 |
| Sunflower Tealights | Ten tealights with yellow wax sunflowers | Rs 449 |
| Lotus Candle | One lotus, red or coral pink; the lightest gift for golu visitors | Rs 349 |
Golu visitors or garba guests: two different plans
For a golu. Visitors come over nine evenings, often unannounced, so you need a steady stock rather than one count. Many families keep a box of Lotus Candles by the door and add one to each thamboolam bag with the betel leaves, haldi, kumkum and the blouse piece. 30 Lotus Candles at shop price come to Rs 10,470. Girls who visit can get something for children, such as bangles or a small toy, while their mothers take the candle.
For a garba night. One host, one evening, a known guest list. The Matki Candles fit the garbo best; 40 sets at shop price are Rs 23,960. For a housing society with a committee budget, the tealight packs at Rs 449 suit families. 50 come to Rs 22,450 at shop prices.
For the colour of the day. Some families follow the nine colours of Navratri. The purple and ivory Daisy Tealights, yellow Sunflower Tealights and red Lotus or Matki let you match a gift to a day.
Planning ahead for the next Navratri
Navratri comes twice a year for many families: Chaitra Navratri in spring and Sharad Navratri before Dussehra. Order for the next one well ahead. The lead time depends on the quantity and your date, and it is confirmed in the quote. We cannot promise a delivery date, so send your enquiry once you know your guest numbers. Kanya pujan, on the eighth or ninth day, is for little girls, so pick a child's gift for them rather than a candle.
Other Navratri return gifts
For golu, families also give steel or brass kumkum boxes, small mirrors, combs, bangles, blouse pieces, coconut and fruit with the thamboolam, and small books of slokas. For garba, hosts give dandiya sticks, bandhani potlis, mithai and dry fruits. These come from a local market or a puja store. A candle fits as the light in the bag, and unlike sweets it is still there after the nine nights are over.
