How a company pays for corporate gifts in India: advance, part payment or credit, and which suits a small handmade order
Companies pay for corporate gifts in one of three ways: full advance against a quote, a part advance with the balance before dispatch, or credit after vendor registration. Small makers usually work prepaid. Raajkosh orders are prepaid as set out in the quote; with no branding and one address you can pay online straight away.

Key takeaways
- Corporate gift suppliers work on full advance, part advance, or credit after vendor registration.
- Small makers are usually prepaid; credit terms mostly come from larger gifting companies.
- Ask finance first whether you can prepay and what the GST invoice must show.
- Raajkosh is prepaid per quote, no cash on delivery; unbranded one-address orders can pay online at once.
The three payment arrangements you will meet
If you are placing your first company gift order, the payment side can feel more confusing than choosing the gift. In practice, Indian corporate gift suppliers use one of three arrangements:
- Full advance, against a quote. The supplier sends a quote with the items, branding, timeline and total with GST. You approve it, pay, and the work starts. This is the norm with small makers and with many online gifting websites, because the goods are made or branded for you and cannot be resold.
- Part advance, balance before dispatch. Some suppliers take part of the amount to start, and the rest once the gifts are ready and you have seen a photo. Common on larger custom orders.
- Credit after vendor registration. Larger corporate gifting companies may agree to bill against your purchase order and wait for your accounts payable cycle, once you have registered them as a vendor. Whether they do, and on what terms, is their policy to state, so ask in writing.
None of these is unusual. What matters is that the arrangement is written into the quote before any money moves.
Choosing an arrangement your finance team will accept
Ask finance three questions before you shortlist suppliers, because the answers rule some out:
- Can we pay in advance at all? Some companies only pay after the goods arrive and the invoice is booked. If so, you need a supplier who gives credit, which usually means a larger company.
- Who can pay? A company card, a UPI payment from a company account, or a bank transfer raised by accounts. A small order of 20 gifts is often fastest on a company card.
- What must the invoice show? Usually the company's billing name, address and GSTIN. Get these to the supplier before the invoice is made, not after.
For a team or client order of 10 to 50 gifts, the simplest route is usually a prepaid order on a company card, approved by the manager who owns the budget. Credit terms tend to matter for very large or repeat orders.
Payment arrangements side by side
| Arrangement | Who usually offers it | Good for | Watch for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Full advance against a quote | Small makers, online gifting websites | Orders of 10 to 300, quick approvals | Get the quote and timeline in writing first |
| Part advance, balance before dispatch | Mid-sized custom suppliers | Large custom runs | Agree what the balance depends on |
| Credit against a purchase order | Larger corporate gifting companies | Companies that cannot prepay | Vendor registration takes time; start early |
| Cash on delivery | Some consumer shops | Not usually for branded corporate orders | Branded goods cannot be refused at the door |
How paying Raajkosh works
Raajkosh is a maker in Jalandhar, Punjab, and our corporate orders are prepaid, as set out in the quote. There is no cash on delivery.
- No branding and one delivery address? You can build the order on raajkosh.com/corporate and pay online straight away, by UPI, card, net banking or wallet through Razorpay.
- Logo branding, many addresses, or a mixed gift box? Ask for a quote. It lists the pieces, the branding (logo on the tag, the note card or a wax seal), the timeline and the price per gift with GST. You approve it and pay as the quote sets out, and the work starts.
- GST invoice with your company's billing name, address and GSTIN. Our GSTIN is 03AEMPG4934K1ZF, registered to Reetu Goel, sole proprietor, trading as RR Creations (brand: Raajkosh).
We do not offer credit terms or a discount for paying early, and we do not quote a bulk rate. What you get instead is a written price per gift before you pay, from 10 gifts, with no minimum order value. The rest of our terms are on our corporate gifting terms page, and if you want to check who we are first, here is who makes our candles.
For a sense of the amount, these are shop prices per piece (your quote confirms the final price per gift): Diya Candles Rs 449, Matki Candles Rs 599, Shankh Candle Rs 799. Twenty Matki Candles at shop price come to Rs 11,980 before branding and delivery.
When our payment terms will not work for you
If your company can only pay after delivery, or every vendor must be on 30-day or 45-day credit, we are not the right supplier for that order. A larger corporate gifting company with credit terms will suit you better. The same goes for orders that need a fixed delivery date written into a purchase order before anything is confirmed: we confirm the timeline in the quote, and only after you tell us your date.
Get a quote you can take to finance
Tell us the number of gifts, the budget per gift, your date, the branding and whether it goes to one address or many at raajkosh.com/corporate, or WhatsApp +91 85958 24586. The quote comes back with the price with GST, ready for your approval.

Frequently asked
- Some larger corporate gifting companies do, after you register them as a vendor. Small makers and most online gifting websites work on payment in advance. Ask each supplier to state it in the quote.
