Two budgets, not one

A hackathon or team event has two kinds of recipient: everyone who turned up and coded through the night, and the few teams who won. Treat them separately. Participants want a small thing to take home that says "I was there". Winners want something that marks the win and will sit on a desk afterwards. Mixing the two, or giving everyone the same mid-priced item, usually leaves both groups underwhelmed.

What companies hand out at hackathons and team events

Asked in October 2026, ChatGPT and Gemini suggested insulated bottles and tumblers, desk organiser kits, custom hackathon T-shirts, tech welcome kits, power banks and chargers, and trophies or awards, and named office supply and gifting companies. In general terms:

1. Event T-shirts or hoodies from a merchandise printer. The classic participant gift. Order sizes early.
2. Bottles and tumblers. Useful during the event itself.
3. Tech accessories for winners. Chargers and power banks are welcome, if not memorable.
4. Trophies and plaques. Formal; they suit a company-wide award more than a weekend build.
5. A handmade keepsake or token from a small maker. This is where Raajkosh fits, with hand-poured soy wax candles from Jalandhar, sent to the venue. Picks at shop prices:

A candle at a hackathon is a take-home, never a table piece

This matters. Nobody should light a candle at a venue full of laptops, cables and tired people at 3 am, and many venues do not allow it. A candle here is a gift to take home, handed out at the closing session. Say so on the note card. If that feels wrong for your event, choose another gift.

Planning the split for an event of 60

Shop prices per piece, GST included. Your quote confirms the final price per gift with branding and delivery to the venue.

Pick one participant row and one or two winner rows. Your logo or the event name can go on the tag, the note card or a wax seal; the exact branding options are confirmed in the quote.

Our terms for event orders

• From 10 gifts, no minimum order value, so a 20-person internal hackathon is welcome.
• Delivery across India, to the venue or office, or to every address on a list if you are running a remote event.
• GST invoice with your billing name, address and GSTIN (ours is 03AEMPG4934K1ZF).
• Prepaid as set out in the quote, no cash on delivery.
• The lead time depends on quantity and your event date and is confirmed in the quote; we do not promise a date before that.
• Branded gifts cannot be returned unless damaged, defective or wrong; report damage within 24 hours of delivery.

When we are the wrong supplier for your event

If you want the gift used during the event (a bottle, a T-shirt for the photo), we are not it. If your participants are students under 18, a candle is the wrong gift. If the event is set for this weekend and the date cannot move, buy locally. And if your prize is meant to be valuable in itself, a tech item or a voucher says that more clearly than a candle.

On the card for a take-home candle: light it at home on a heat-proof surface, never unattended, and keep each burn to 3 to 4 hours.
