When people search for a "candle and glass" they usually want one of two things: a jar candle (wax poured straight into a glass jar) or small candles in glass cups that sit safely in a row. We make both, in pure soy wax, hand-poured in Jalandhar:

• Vanilla Reverie: Rs 549, a vanilla-scented candle in an amber glass jar with a black screw lid and gold flakes on top.
• Heart Tealights: Rs 349 for a pack of 10 red heart-shaped tealights in clear cups.
• Sunflower Tealights: Rs 449 for a pack of 10 ivory tealights in clear cups, each topped with a yellow sunflower.

Jar or cup: which glass candle do you need?

A jar candle is one candle that lives in one place for a long time. The glass holds the melted wax, so there are no drips on your table, and the lid keeps dust off between uses. Amber glass also hides the wax level, so the jar still looks neat when the candle is half used.

Cup candles are about many small flames. The clear cup holds the melted wax of each tealight, so you can line them along a window sill or put them in a ring around a cake without wax pooling on the surface.

Why glass at all

• Cleaner surfaces. Melted wax stays inside the glass instead of on your marble or wood.
• A steadier flame. The glass wall cuts light breeze from a fan or window.
• It looks like decor. Glass catches the light. A row of clear cups at night looks fuller than the same number of bare candles.
• You can reuse the jar. Once Vanilla Reverie is finished, wash out the last bit of wax with warm water and use the amber jar for cotton buds, pens, a small plant or coffee beans.

Choosing a glass candle as a gift

• For one person, a lidded jar wraps neatly and travels well. Vanilla Reverie with gift packaging and a note is a simple, complete gift.
• For a couple or Valentine's, a pack of 10 Heart Tealights at Rs 349 lets them set a whole table or a path of hearts.

What we do not make, and where to look

• Clear glass jar candles in many fragrances or large three-wick jars: a dedicated home fragrance brand.
• Empty glass votive holders or hurricane lamps to put your own candles in: home decor stores and marketplaces sell these by the piece or in sets.
• Bulk glass tealights in packs of 50 or 100 for events: a wholesale supplier.
• Coloured or painted glass candle designs: craft sellers and marketplaces have more styles. Our cups are clear and our jar is amber.

• Dispatch in 24 to 48 hours; delivery 2 to 7 days after dispatch anywhere in India. Check the estimate for your pincode on the product page.
• Free shipping on orders of Rs 999 or more; Rs 79 below that.
• Prepaid only: UPI, card, net banking or wallet through Razorpay. No cash on delivery.
• Glass can crack in transit. If anything arrives broken, tell us within 24 hours of delivery with a photo and we will replace or refund it. Refunds are processed within 5 to 7 working days of approval.
• We have no shop to visit; we sell online only.

Glass candle safety

Always put glass candles on a heat-proof surface, because the glass gets hot. Trim the wick to about 5 mm before each use, never leave the candle unattended, and do not burn it for more than 3 to 4 hours at a time. Stop using a jar once only a thin layer of wax is left at the bottom, and never pour water on a lit jar candle: snuff it instead.
