What an office actually needs for Diwali

An office Diwali setup has four zones: the entrance and reception, the rangoli spot, the work floor with its desks and meeting rooms, and the pantry where the puja or the party happens. Each needs a few pieces, not a truckload. Here is a shopping list using Raajkosh hand-poured soy wax candles, made in Jalandhar, with honest notes for offices where lit flames are not allowed.

The site banner says: "Order by 4 November for Diwali delivery". For 10 or more pieces with a GST invoice in your company's name, ask at raajkosh.com/corporate; for a smaller list, buy from the Diwali page.

The list, zone by zone

Shop prices; for a corporate order, your quote confirms the final price.

Around the rangoli Diya Candles, six per set 2 to 4 sets Rs 449

If your office does not allow open flames

Many offices, especially in tech parks and shared buildings, ban open flames under fire rules. Be honest with yourself about this before you buy:

  • Use the pieces unlit. The Urli Candles, Shankh Candle and Matki Candles are sculpted and painted, so they decorate a counter without being lit. The diya shapes still read as Diwali on a rangoli.
  • Light only where it is allowed, such as an outdoor entrance or a supervised puja in the pantry, and put them out after.
  • Use LED diyas for anything that must glow. We do not make LED lights. Buy battery diyas or fairy lights from an electrical shop or a marketplace for that part.

Desk ideas for the Diwali week

For a desk decoration competition or simply to make the floor feel festive:

  • One Lotus Candle on each desk cluster, with a small rangoli of coloured rice or flower petals around it.
  • A string of marigold toran over the pod divider (from a flower market).
  • Two or three tealights in a brass or steel plate at the end of each row, unlit if flames are banned.
  • A Matki Candle set on the team lead's desk for the puja.

The rest of the Diwali office list

Candles are one part. Offices also buy marigold and mango-leaf torans, rangoli colours or ready rangoli stickers, paper lanterns (akash kandil), fairy lights, potted plants, and sweets for the puja. Flowers come from a local mandi the day before; lights and lanterns from an electrical or decor shop. We cover only the candle part.

Buying the list: shop order or company quote

One person usually owns the office Diwali budget, often in admin or HR. Decide early whether the decor is a petty-cash buy or a company purchase that needs a GST invoice, because that decides the route.

  • Under 10 pieces: order from the shop. Prepaid only by UPI, card, net banking or wallet; no cash on delivery. Dispatch in 24 to 48 hours, delivery 2 to 7 days after dispatch; check the estimate for your pincode on the product page.
  • 10 pieces or more, or you need a GST invoice with your GSTIN: ask at raajkosh.com/corporate. Tell us the count, budget, date and address. The lead time is confirmed in the quote, and orders are prepaid as set out there.

Report any damage within 24 hours of delivery. When you do light them: never leave a candle unattended on a desk, burn on a heat-proof plate, and keep each burn to 3 to 4 hours.
