Diwali candles online in India

For Diwali 2026 (Sunday 8 November), the three candles people pick most from our range are:

  • Diya Candles: Rs 449 for 6 terracotta-red diyas with a carved rim, for the door, balcony and rangoli.
  • Sunflower Tealights: Rs 449 for 10 ivory tealights in clear cups, each topped with a yellow sunflower, for long rows on ledges and stairs.
  • Urli Candles: Rs 699 for a pair of gold-rimmed urli bowls with gold-flecked wax and a sunflower, as the showpiece at the entrance.

Every candle is hand-poured in pure soy wax in Jalandhar and delivered across India.

Diwali candles by where they go

A Diwali home has four kinds of spots, and each wants a different candle:

  1. Long rows (balcony rail, window ledge, staircase): small and many. Tealights or diyas.
  2. The rangoli: low and round, with one centrepiece. Diyas around the edge and a Lotus Candle (Rs 349) in the middle.
  3. The entrance and the mandir: a statement piece. Urli Candles or the Shankh Candle (Rs 799).
  4. Tables and shelves where guests sit: colour and shape. Matki Candles (Rs 599 for 4) or Spiral Pillar Candles in yellow (Rs 179 each).

What "fancy" and "designer" Diwali candles mean here

Plain white candles from the kirana store do one job: light. Designer Diwali candles are meant to be looked at in daylight too, on a table or in a photo of your rangoli. Ours are shaped by hand: lattice-rim diyas, painted matkis, gold-rimmed urlis, a shankh with lotus blooms. None of them carry a fragrance, which suits Diwali, when the house already smells of sweets, incense and phuljhadi smoke.

Where else to buy Diwali candles

  • Local markets sell plain wax candles and clay diyas by the packet at the lowest price. Good for very long rows on a big house.
  • Large marketplaces carry LED candles, gel candles and floating candles. We make none of these.
  • Scented candle brands sell fragrance jars as Diwali gifts. If you want one scented candle in your hamper, our Vanilla Reverie is Rs 549.

Diwali safety

Keep candles away from curtains, rangoli powder heaps, paper lanterns and the path where children run with phuljhadi. Use a heat-proof plate under each one, trim the wick to about 5 mm, never leave them burning unattended and do not burn them for more than 3 to 4 hours at a time.
