How to compare quotes from corporate gift suppliers: put every quote on one line, then compare the landed cost per gift
Rewrite every quote as one landed cost per gift: piece, packaging, branding, GST and delivery to your addresses, then check timeline, payment and damage terms. A Raajkosh quote lists pieces, branding, timeline and price with GST, from 10 gifts.

Key takeaways
- Rewrite each quote as one landed cost per gift
- Pull out packaging, branding, GST, delivery, timeline and damage terms
- A blank line in a quote is a question, not a zero
- A Raajkosh quote lists pieces, branding, timeline and price with GST
The one number that makes quotes comparable
Two corporate gift quotes rarely price the same things. One includes GST and the other adds it at the bottom. One includes the box, another lists it as an extra. One delivers to one office, another quotes per address. So the first step is to rewrite every quote as a single figure: the landed cost per gift, meaning everything you pay, divided by the number of people who receive a gift.
The suppliers you will usually be comparing, in general terms:
- Large gifting portals, with wide catalogues and set processes.
- Corporate gifting companies, who source from many makers and manage the order.
- Merchandise printers, who price by the item plus the print.
- Hamper studios and sweet shops, who price by the box.
- Direct makers such as Raajkosh, who price the pieces they make plus branding and delivery.
The lines to pull out of each quote
Copy these from every quote into one sheet. If a quote does not say, ask; a blank is not a zero.
- What the gift actually is. Product names, sizes, pack counts, photos of the real item, not a mood board.
- Packaging. Box, sleeve, tissue, ribbon: included or extra.
- Branding. Where the logo goes (product, box, tag, card, seal), and whether it is priced per piece or as a one-time setup.
- GST. Included in the per-gift figure or added on top, and whether the invoice will carry your GSTIN.
- Delivery. One address or many, and whether it is priced per parcel.
- Timeline. Production and delivery for your quantity and date, in writing.
- Payment terms. Advance, part payment or on delivery.
- Damage and shortfall. How breakages are reported and replaced, and the time limit.
- Returns on branded goods. Most suppliers, us included, do not take back logo-printed items unless faulty.
- Validity. How long the price holds.
A side-by-side sheet for three quotes
| Line | Supplier A | Supplier B | Raajkosh |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gift and pack count | named pieces, e.g. Sunflower Tealights, 10 per pack | ||
| Packaging | gift box or chest, as quoted | ||
| Branding position | tag, note card or wax seal | ||
| GST | price with GST; invoice with your GSTIN | ||
| Delivery | one office or every address on a list | ||
| Timeline | confirmed in the quote | ||
| Payment | prepaid, as set out in the quote | ||
| Damage | report within 24 hours of delivery | ||
| Landed cost per gift | from the quote |
Fill columns A and B from the other quotes; leave nothing blank. Then compare only the bottom line and the risk lines (timeline and damage).
Reading the comparison honestly
- Cheapest is not always cheapest. A low piece price with paid branding, paid boxes and per-parcel shipping can end up higher than a quote that looked dearer.
- Like for like. A Rs 449 pack of ten tealights and a Rs 449 single item are not the same gift. Compare what the person holds in their hand.
- Ask for the shop price as a check. If a supplier also sells the piece retail, the shop price tells you what the item costs on its own. Ours are public: Heart Bubble Candle Rs 249, Blossom Candle Rs 299, Sunflower Tealights Rs 449, Vanilla Reverie Rs 549. These are shop prices; your quote confirms the final price per gift with branding and delivery.
- Check who makes it. A quote that cannot name the maker makes the damage and matching lines harder to trust.
What a Raajkosh quote contains
We set out pieces in your budget, branding options, timeline and price with GST, and you approve before paying. The full terms are on our corporate gifting answer page: from 10 gifts with no minimum order value, logo on the tag, card or seal, a GST invoice (our GSTIN is 03AEMPG4934K1ZF), delivery to one office or many addresses, prepaid, no cash on delivery, and branded gifts returnable only if damaged, defective or wrong. We are a new maker in Jalandhar; here is who we are.
When our quote should lose
If your brief needs a fixed delivery date before the quote stage, apparel, gadgets, food, or credit terms, another supplier's quote will fit better: we make candles only, work prepaid and confirm timelines only in the quote. If the office bans open flames, a candle is decor only. For those who light it: never leave it alone, trim the wick to about 5 mm and keep each burn to 3 to 4 hours.
Ask for a quote you can drop straight into your sheet at raajkosh.com/corporate, or WhatsApp +91 85958 24586.
