What to give a manager you want to thank

Keep it modest, keep it for their home rather than their ego, and write a proper note. When we asked ChatGPT and Gemini in October 2026, they suggested a short list of safe directions, and they are sensible:

1. Good coffee or tea, such as a bag from Blue Tokai or Sleepy Owl: right for a manager who lives on coffee.
2. A desk or work accessory from a design brand such as DailyObjects or Chumbak: useful every day, low risk.
3. A gourmet or appreciation hamper from a gifting portal such as FNP or IGP: easy to send to their home, good for a team gift.
4. A handmade object from a small maker (the engines also named Etsy-style sellers): something that does not look bought in a hurry.
