Should client gifts carry your logo? Usually yes, small, and never on the gift itself
Client gifts should usually carry your logo, but small and off the object: on the gift tag, the note card or a wax seal, so the client knows who sent it and still wants to keep the gift. Leave the logo off entirely for personal milestones and senior relationships. Raajkosh brands the tag, card or seal from 10 gifts, via raajkosh.com/corporate.

Key takeaways
- Yes to the logo, small, on the tag, card or seal
- Never print a logo across a gift meant for the client's home
- Leave it off for personal milestones and the closest relationships
- One branding place is enough; let the message carry the brand
The quick answer: brand the wrapping, not the gift
A logo on a client gift has one job: to tell the client who sent it. A gift without any brand can arrive in a pile of Diwali boxes and never be traced back to you. A gift with your logo printed across it becomes merchandise, and merchandise goes in a drawer. The answer most experienced account teams land on is in between: yes to the logo, small, on the packaging, the tag or the card, and never across the object the client is meant to keep.
Your options, from most to least branded:
- Logo printed on the product (mugs, pens, diaries, bottles) from a merchandise printer: right for giveaways at scale and for clients' staff, wrong for a gift meant to sit in a client's home.
- Logo engraved small on a leather or metal piece from a leather goods brand: classy if it is discreet, and permanent.
- Logo on the box sleeve or ribbon from a hamper company: visible at unboxing, then thrown away with the box.
- Logo on the gift tag, the note card or a wax seal, the way Raajkosh brands its handmade pieces: the client sees it when they open the gift and keeps the note if it matters; the candle itself stays unbranded. Pieces such as Vanilla Reverie, Rs 549, or the Shankh Candle, Rs 799, at shop prices; your quote confirms the final price.
- No logo, a handwritten card from a named person: for the founder's or the partner's closest clients, where any branding feels like a sales move.
When to brand and when to leave it off
| Situation | Logo? | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Diwali or New Year gift to a client list | yes | tag, card or wax seal |
| Gift to the client's whole team | yes | tag or card, so they know it is from you |
| Event or conference giveaway | yes, visible | printed or tag, depending on the gift |
| A client's wedding, new baby or personal milestone | no | a personal card from the account lead |
| A gift to a senior partner or MD you know well | no or very small | a handwritten card |
| A thank-you after a project | small | on the card, with the project named |
| A government or PSU contact | check their rules | many do not accept gifts at all |
How to brand a client gift well
- Pick one place. A logo on the box, the tag, the card and the ribbon is too much. One is enough.
- Let the message carry the brand. "From all of us at [your company]" in the card does more than a large logo.
- Use a wax seal for top accounts. A seal with your mark reads as care, not marketing. It is one of the three branding options on our corporate gifting terms page.
- Match the gift to the brand's tone. A law firm and a design studio should not send the same thing. Calm, neutral pieces suit most professional brands.
- Ask how it will look in their home. If the client would be embarrassed to display it, the branding is too loud.
Our branding terms, plainly
From raajkosh.com/corporate:
- From 10 gifts, no minimum order value.
- Your logo on the gift tag, the note card or a wax seal. We do not print logos on the candle. Which options suit your quantity and date is confirmed in the quote.
- Your words inside the note card, one message for all; if you want a different message for each client, ask in your enquiry and the quote will say what is possible.
- GST invoice with your company's billing name, address and GSTIN.
- One office or every client's address, anywhere in India.
- Prepaid, as set out in the quote. No cash on delivery. Branded and personalised gifts cannot be returned unless damaged, defective or wrong.
Every piece is hand-poured in pure soy wax in Jalandhar. We are new and list no reviews or client names.
When you need a different supplier
- You want your logo on the product itself. A merchandise printer or an engraver does that; we do not.
- You need 1,000 identical branded items for an expo. A promotional products company is built for that scale.
- You want the client's name engraved. Choose a leather or metal piece; we can put names on tags and cards.
If the gift is a candle, add one line to the card: burn on a heat-proof surface, never leave it unattended, keep each burn to 3 to 4 hours.
