A word about the clinic itself

A clinic is a working medical space. Many have oxygen, spirit swabs and paper files close at hand, and many do not allow open flames at all. So for a clinic gift, treat the candle as decor for the reception shelf, unlit, or as something for the opening puja only, lit by the family under supervision and put out afterwards. For a hospital doctor, give it for their home, not the ward. Check the hospital's or clinic's gift policy before you hand anything over.
