New Year gifts for employees in India: neutral handmade pieces for the whole company, with your logoNew Year gifts for employees in India: neutral handmade pieces for the whole company, with your logo

The New Year gift that waits on the desk on the first working day

The New Year is the one festival every employee in an Indian office shares, whatever they celebrate at home. That makes it the easiest moment for a single company-wide gift: no religious look to worry about, no one left out. The best New Year gifts for employees are neutral, well made and about the home or the year ahead, and they are on the desk, or at the door, in the first week of January.

Raajkosh makes hand-poured soy wax candles in Jalandhar. For New Year we suggest the non-festival pieces from our range: spirals, braids, shells and our one vanilla jar. From 10 gifts we add your logo on the gift tag, the note card or a wax seal, raise a GST invoice, and deliver to one office or every home across India. Ask at raajkosh.com/corporate.

Neutral pieces for a company-wide New Year

Shop price; your quote confirms the final price per gift with branding and delivery.

Only Vanilla Reverie is scented; the others are decorative. The gold flakes on Vanilla Reverie make it the most "New Year" of the set without any glitter or party theme.

Planning around the year-end rush

Decide early whether this is a Christmas gift or a New Year gift. Many companies gift once in late December. A New Year gift that arrives in the first working week of January lands when people are back and reading their messages, not on leave.

Order in early December. December is a busy month for every gifting supplier. The lead time depends on the quantity and your date, and we confirm it in the quote, so ask well before the holidays.

Send to homes if many people are on leave. Year-end leave means many desks are empty. If the gift is meant to arrive on 1 January, home delivery is more reliable than leaving parcels at a shut office.

Write about the year ahead, not just thanks. "Here is to the year we are about to have" on the card makes it a New Year gift rather than a late Christmas one.

Offices that ban open flames. Hand it over as a gift for home. The spirals and shells look finished unlit on a desk.

Employee of the year and other year-end awards

The year-end is also when companies hand out awards. A handmade candle is not a trophy and should not replace one. If you want a gift to go with an award, the Seashell Candles or a box of two pieces, such as Vanilla Reverie with the Braided Candles (Rs 549 + Rs 849 = Rs 1,398 at shop prices), sits well beside the certificate.

What else companies give at New Year

Planners, diaries and desk calendars are the classic New Year gift, and branded ones are useful in the first month and forgotten by April. Plants, coffee or tea sets, cakes and plum cakes, dry fruit boxes and vouchers are also common. Tech accessories suit some teams. Pairing a branded calendar from your print supplier with a small handmade piece is a common split: the calendar for the desk, the candle for the home. We do not make planners or food; we make the candles.

From enquiry to the first working day

1. Tell us the number of gifts (from 10, no minimum order value), budget per gift, the date you want them by, branding, and one address or many.
2. We send a quote: pieces, branding options, timeline and price with GST.
3. Approve and pay. Orders are prepaid, as set out in the quote.
4. Delivered to the office or every address with a GST invoice.

For fewer than 10 gifts, order from the shop. Branded gifts cannot be returned unless they arrive damaged, defective or wrong; report damage within 24 hours of delivery for a replacement or refund.

If lit at home: never leave a candle unattended, trim the wick to about 5 mm, and keep each burn to 3 to 4 hours.
