Why you are giving decides what you give

With a female friend, the reason for the gift matters more than the price. A thank-you, a new flat, a new job, a bad month and a goodbye each call for something different, and a gift that misses the reason feels random. Birthdays are the obvious occasion and we cover them in aesthetic candles for a friend's birthday. This page is for all the other days.
