The call of the shankh
In most homes the conch is blown once, at dawn, to start the day. Ours stays quiet. It just glows.
Line No. 01

Good to know
Two shapes anchor this collection. The shankh is a cream and caramel conch vessel filled with gold-flecked soy wax and decorated with pink lotus blooms and a green lily pad. The lotus is built up petal by petal, in green leaves with a red bloom or an all-coral-pink version. Both are hand-poured in pure soy wax in Jalandhar.
The conch also carries the collection down to the shore. The seashell candles come as conch-shell vessels in pairs, sky blue and sand beige, or marbled blue-and-white and terracotta-and-white, each topped with little pink wax shells, pearls and gold stars. The marbling varies from piece to piece.
The shankh and the lotus belong on a mandir shelf or a puja corner; the shells look at home on a bathroom ledge, a bookshelf or a bedside. A lotus with a pair of shells makes a gentle griha pravesh gift, and the whole set travels well together in a gift chest with a note of your own.
